Combination packaging / single packaging

Definition of package: The package is the final product of the procedure of packing, combined from the packaging or big packaging or IBC, with its content and ready to be shipped.

This term includes pressure vessels, as well as objects that for their dimensions, mass or configuration, can be transported not packed or transported in casings, cages or devices for movimentation. Except for the transport of radioactive materials, the term does not apply to the dangerous goods transported randomly and to the goods transported in tanks.

Combination packaging: Combination packaging for the transport, made up from one or more inner packagings arranged in an outer packaging.

Single packaging: Single packagings are packagings that does not require any inner packaging to accomplish their function during the transport.
