Fibreboard boxes for Limited Quantity (LQ) and Excepted Quantity (EQ) – SCN813
Strong and resistant American-style fibreboard boxes of excellent quality, suitable for the shipment of dangerous goods under exemption or non-dangerous goods for transport purposes.
These fibreboard boxes are suitable for transport in Limited Quantities, as they comply with the construction provisions of 6.1.4 as required by regulations ADR 3.4.1(f), RID 3.4.1(f), ADN 3.4.1(f) and IMDG 3.4.1.2.6.
They can also be used for shipment by air in Limited Quantities, as they are manufactured in compliance with the construction provisions of 6.2 IATA as required by Chapter 2.7 of the IATA Regulations; however, the package ready for shipment must be able to pass a drop test from 1.2 metres and a stacking test at 3 metres.
Furthermore, these boxes are structurally suitable for transport in Excepted Quantities, as they comply with the construction provisions set out in Chapter 3.5 of ADR, RID, ADN and IMDG, and Chapter 2.6 of the IATA Regulations.
For shipment in compliance with Excepted Quantities, the package ready for shipment must be able to pass five drop tests from a height of 1.8 metres in different orientations and a stacking test at 3 metres for 24 hours.
For both LQ IATA boxes and EQ boxes, in order to demonstrate the compliance of the packaging, it is necessary to test the packaging in accordance with regulatory requirements and to document the tests by issuing a test report. With in-depth knowledge of fibreboard production and UN approval testing, we are able to test the packaging and issue a document of compliance for shipment under Limited Quantities or Excepted Quantities, regardless of the mode of transport.
