Vermiculite absorbent and padding material
Vermiculite absorbent and padding material
Vermiculite is an absorbent cushioning material, inert, incombustible, and rot-proof mineral material. Vermiculite is 100% free of asbestos, impurities, sterile, chemically inert, and insoluble in water and in organic solvents. This material, after undergoing a special exfoliation process, is presented in flakes or granules consisting of micro channels and closed cells, making it suitable for shock or liquid absorption, making it ideal for use as a filling material for packaging. If the Packing Instructions require you to have an absorbent and cushioning material, the best solution on the market is vermiculite. This material is non-combustible and free of impurities. It also does not fall into any hazard class for the transport of dangerous goods and is therefore not subject to the relevant ADR (by land), RID (by rail), ADN (by inland waterways), IMDG (by sea) and IATA (by air) Regulations. Vermiculite is sold by Serpac in 10-kg PE bags, about 100 liters purchasable in 2-packs. Warning!. When using ONU 4GV approved boxes or 4DV boxes, it is essential to use vermiculite as an absorbent and inert cushioning material (except for the new PGV81 sold in combination with the absorbent kit).
